Joseph & Nicole

This movie about Joseph & Nicole’s wedding day is going to be one of those movies that just gets better with time.
(something I like to say about all my films) but this one in particular is a good example of that.
If you imagine yourself in Nicole or Joseph’s shoes during the clip you’ll get a good scene of what that might feel like ten years from now.
I have to confess I was late getting this done for Joseph and Nicole much later then I’m comfortable with but I take solace in knowing I’ve created something that will stand the test of time.

Three Weddings One 7D

This is a clip I put together to show at the Justin's Grill Bridal Show featuring my latest work.
It was nice to talk to everyone that came to my table and showed some interest in what I do.
There were alot of people there, so you couldn’t really enjoy the clip because it was loud and couldn’t
really get in to it.
The clip features the new tool I will be using to capture most of my images, the Canon 7D.
I love this thing! It has changed the way I shoot the wedding day FOREVER and there is no looking back.
I’ve always said I shoot like a photographer but with a video camera . Now I can say I shoot like a cinematographer with a photographer's camera.

Rob and Eleni saw each other before the ceremony which is a bit unorthodox for an orthodox wedding no pun intended:-)

I’m so sorry for not posting in a while. The season is picking up and my editing is getting backed up. Not that I’m complaining but I want to take care of my awesome couples that have been so patient with me. It really means a lot to have your trust.
O.K., so now that I have publicly apologized I want to share with you two clips from Christopher & Anna’s wedding which took place at the MIRBEAU INN & SPA in Skaneateles, a really beautiful place.
I was teamed up with the very talented Rebecca of ReBecca's Photography which by coincidence I worked with last week.
Chris and Anna are such a laid back beautiful looking couple. I had a wonderful time getting to know them. On their wedding day they exchanged vows they wrote themselves. You’ll see from the clips, Chris and Anna practiced until the last minute.

Mary Joy + Thomas

Very excited to bring you the theatrical trailer of Mary Joy & Thomas.
You might recognize them from my very first posting, Short Doc
Mary Joy and Thomas were amazing to work with,
they were up for almost anything.
They got married at Our Lady of Pompeii and
partied at the Hotel Syracuse.
When I say partied, I mean PAARTIEEEED!!!
It was crazy! Brother Brian from Visa Versa Entertainment
rocked it out! I will be posting a reception
clip in a couple of weeks so you can see how amazing The Hotel Syracuse
looked with the up lighting provided by Visa Versa.
Ed Guarente was the official photographer. A real talent I had the
pleasure of working with a few times last year. He kept me on my toes

I’m very excited to post this clip straight out of Peter and Leah’s movie.
After they got married, we went back to the Turning Stone Casino to the lodge to take some shots. Even though the weather was good, out of nowhere came a burst of wind and a downpour followed, which lasted for about twenty minutes and then the skies opened right up.

I thought I’d post a reception clip just to show some variety. Richard and Katie had so much fun during their reception it’s unbelievable. I don’t think they sat out one dance, neither did their bridal party. Jones Tones rock it out! (One of my favorite DJ’s) Justin’s Grill is the location and let me tell you that place never disappoints. I’ve shot some wedding there over the years from big fat Greek weddings to the smallest most intimate one’s and they always deliver, There food and staff are #1.
Now let me be clear about something, I didn’t create this blog so I can do baseness with other venders, I did it so that the Bride and Groom can have more incite about Vasili that's me:-)
So when I give props to a baseness it’s because I know from the inside, they strive to provide the best serves. That’s something I appreciate and it’s something I strive for myself.

The most anticipated event of the year. Brian and Kelly’s Wedding Spanned over three days, making it by far the biggest wedding I have ever had the pleasure of shooting.
Here are three clips that I’d like to share. The first is the opening sequent’s to the movie, 2nd is the processional and 3rd is the ceremony.
I also want to thank Frank DiMeo and Shai Eynav for being a pleasure to work with.Two very talented photographers.

Happy thanksgiving! I’m glad to finally post Tony and Valerie’s wedding. I’m also a little extra happy to show a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony which was held at St Sophia’s, the church that my family and I belong to.
I know most of the people in this video personally so I was honored to be chosen to film the event to say the list.
This video was a gift to Tony and Valerie from Christine, Tony’s sister. What an amazing gift to give someone for their wedding.
Hmm, maybe I should start selling wedding video gift cards!

Jennifer and Brian's Heartfelt Words

Here is the other clip I promised from Jennifer and Brian's Wedding Video. The clip features some heartfelt words they exchanged right after they lit their unity candle. I've never had that happen before and to tell you the truth it caught me off guard. I ended up being handheld with my camera and I couldn't see Mark, my other cinematographer, so I had no idea what he was getting. I was compelled to stay put until it was over.

This is why it's so important to have your wedding captured on video and if that video happens to be HD all the better. For Jennifer and Brian, their heartfelt words and the images that go along with those words are now immortalized for all time. I'm so proud and happy to be the one to do that for them. I mixed in some clips that have that old super 8 color film look to give it the feel of remembering.

Well here it is, I finally did it, I have video on my blog and what a way to start! Mary Joy and Thomas asked if I could use some of their
home video of Thomas' home coming from Iraq and some photos of them to put something together to show at their reception at the Hotel Syracuseon on their wedding day.
I did some brainstorming and this is what I came up with.
I call it a short doc but really it's a mixture of things.

Mary Joy and Thomas have endured some tough times while they were apart.
I just wanted to show everyone the sacrifices they made and the strength
of their love.

Hi every one, and welcome to my blog.

I’m very excited about this, I actually can’t believe I’m doing this, but here it goes. The first thing I want to do is thank all 2007 couples for being so patient with me for waiting extra long for their movies. As you can see from my new website, things are happening here, good things.

I’m so happy about my new web site because it now truly reflects who I am and what I
do, it’s another evolutionary step for me. I feel proud to have full control, it feels really good.

There are a lot of new things coming to vasilisworldvideo.com

Number one is another website that will be to the left of my splash page called Performing arts.
For years I have been the official cinematographer for one of the most prestigious dance centers
in Central New York. I’ve been torn in the past about not being able to show what I do with them simply because there was no room on my old website and I didn’t want to have a whole different one. Now clients will be able to get a broader insight of Vasili’s World Video.

Second, I’m working on bigger windows in the HD THEATER. Clients will have a choice to view clips in much higher resolution.
